Family Update

Principal’s Post

Dear Families,

We had a great week back at school after April vacation and are now in the home stretch!  Thank you to all of the families, staff, and community members who participated in Haverhill’s Annual City Wide Earth Day on Saturday!  So many people have shared how nice the schoolyard and park looked upon return from vacation.   Your hard work and commitment to our school community is very much appreciated.

Every day of school is an important opportunity for students to learn and connect to peers and their teachers and staff at Walnut Square.  Thank you so much for making attendance a priority!  April’s attendance rate is 92.02%.  Next week is an opportunity to finish strong!

Haverhill Public Schools has released all of the summer opportunities for summer 2024!  You can visit https://www.haverhill-ps.org/2023-summer-extended-learning/ to learn more.  You can also click on the HPS Summer Flyers:

Field Day is fast approaching, and it takes many people to make this day a success.  We are looking for volunteers to help out at the various stations throughout the morning.  Field Day will be held on Wednesday, May 29th 9:30 am – 11:30 am.  The rain date is Wednesday, June 5th from 9:30 am – 11:30 am.  All volunteers should plan on arriving at 9:00 AM and plan to stay until 11:45 AM.  Only volunteers will be allowed to attend this event and must have an active CORI on file.  If you would like to volunteer, please click on this link and complete the formhttps://forms.gle/u7xU1RhehsbMcWRX7

I  hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Sincerely,

Jen Rubera
