Dear Families,

I’m excited to share a special edition of the Walnut Square News.  In this special edition, Superstar hosts explain how mediation meetings help them resolve conflicts respectfully by using “I statements” and active listening.  The newscast highlights that these meetings prevent fighting and encourage students to find compromises and learn from their mistakes.  With over 270 mediations held this year, students are successfully learning to use their words to solve problems both with and without adult assistance.  I hope you enjoy and learn about our successful mediation process!
