Dear Families,
We invite you to become an active part of our school community by supporting the Walnut Square School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)!
The PTO funds essential programs, purchases classroom resources, and organizes community-building events that directly benefit every student. Your involvement—no matter how big or small—makes a real difference!
Why Should You Participate?
- Direct Impact: See firsthand how your time and skills translate into better resources and activities for our students.
- Build Community: Connect with other parents, teachers, and staff, strengthening the entire school environment.
Upcoming Activities & Projects Where We Need Your Help
We have several key initiatives and fundraising events coming up, and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us ensure they run smoothly. In addition to scheduled PTO events, Walnut Square will participate in Haverhill’s Santa Parade on November 23rd. For years, the Haverhill Santa Parade has stood as one of our city’s most cherished and enduring community traditions, marking the unofficial start of the holiday season with festive floats and spirited participation from local groups. This beloved event, which has delighted generations of Haverhill residents, is exactly the kind of shared experience the Walnut Square PTO is dedicated to supporting. With the official theme being “The Island of Misfit Toys,” our float will celebrate inclusion with the message “All are welcome at Walnut Square.” Our design will feature a model of our school, festive trees, our Superstars mascot, and a collection of wonderful misfit characters and toys. We are using the beloved story of Rudolph and the Misfits to celebrate the idea that every student, staff member, and family member belongs! We need your help to bring this vision to life! How can you help? We are looking for donations or items to borrow, volunteers to help with creating and setting up/construction, and parade participants! If you are interested, please click here to sign up to volunteer and/or participate in Haverhill’s Santa Parade with Walnut Square School!
Thank you for considering how you can support our incredible students and school community. Whether you help us build a spectacular float for the Santa Parade, contribute an hour to a fundraiser, or join our monthly meetings, every act of involvement strengthens Walnut Square. The success of our PTO relies entirely on families like yours stepping up to support Walnut Square School. Please take a moment to click the volunteer link now to share your availability and sign up for specific projects. We can’t wait to partner with you this year to make Walnut Square the very best place for our Superstars to learn and grow!
Sincerely,
The Walnut Square PTO
