Dear Families,
As we conclude the first trimester of the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to share your child’s learning and progress. As previously announced, all Haverhill Public Schools have aligned their K-4 elementary report cards and are now using a standards-based grading system that was previously adopted by two of our elementary schools. As you know with any new process there sometime may be some glitches and errors during the transition, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these issues.
Unfortunately, we have encountered some problems with our system that may have affected your child’s report card for the first trimester. We sincerely apologize for any confusion they may have caused. Please be assured that we are working diligently to correct this situation. Additionally, please note, that if your child has an IEP, refer to their progress reports for further information about their progress. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress and learning, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school.
We also invite you to attend upcoming focus groups and Site Council meetings about the report cards to gather feedback and improve our goal of creating a streamlined district report card for grades K-4 that effectively communicates learning progress to students and families.
