Family Update

Dear Families,

As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. I am truly thankful for the enthusiasm and dedication our students display every day, as well as for the unwavering support from our families. Together, we create a nurturing environment where our children can learn, grow, and thrive.

The first trimester grades closed on Friday, November 22nd, and report cards will be issued on Monday, December 2nd. Today, we celebrated our Superstars who have been diligently completing iReady lessons in both Reading and Math. I am so impressed with their hard work and focus; many have completed 40 lessons, and we even have three students who have completed 60 lessons in either Reading or Math!

I would also like to extend my thanks to the PTO for organizing a successful Pie Fundraiser, which raised $1,200! I truly appreciate all the families who participated in and supported this important initiative. The funds raised will contribute to the fun and enriching experiences we have planned for our students and staff. A special shout-out goes to Morry and Alicia Korinow, Sarah Lovasco, Abigail Pena, and Chris O’Leary for your hard work and dedication on Pie Pick-Up Day. Everything was so organized, and everyone received their pies!

During this special time, I encourage you to take a break, enjoy quality moments with your loved ones, and reflect on the things that bring you joy. May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

As we gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving season, the Walnut Square PTO is excited to kick off our Thanksgiving Pie Sale! This delicious fundraiser not only gives you the chance to enjoy homemade pies but also supports our school and enriches our students’ educational experiences.  This fundraiser will help us raise funds for various educational resources and activities that enrich our students’ learning environment. Together, we can make a difference!  Thank you for your continued support. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warmth, joy, and delicious pies!
