Quote of the Week

“The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.”
-May Smith

Dear Families,

Fall is here, and the weather is constantly changing! This time of year, dressing in layers can be very helpful. It’s also when the Lost and Found tends to grow. If your child is missing an item, please visit us to check. We encourage you to label your child’s clothing and items with their name whenever possible, as this helps us return lost items to their rightful owners. Additionally, please remember to send your child to school with a water bottle each day. Thank you for your support and cooperation!

Our PTO Thanksigivng Pie Sale continues!  Thank you to all who have ordered pies.  This delicious fundraiser not only gives you the chance to enjoy homemade pies but also supports our school and enriches our students’ educational experiences.  This fundraiser will help us raise funds for various educational resources and activities that enrich our students’ learning environment.  More information about the pie sale and the PTO is listed below.  Click here to view the Pie Order Form.

Today, Grade 2 participated in a presentation about bus safety as part of the Safe Routes to School program. This initiative aims to enhance safe walking practices among elementary school students by fostering collaboration within the community and connecting health and transportation. The presentation provided valuable information to help ensure that our students can travel safely to and from school.  Thank you our District Health and Wellness coach, Meghan Correll, for coordinating this awesome event!

As part of National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week, Haverhill Public Schools is hosting a food and hygiene drive to collect essential items to support families in our community. We are collecting the following items from Monday, November 18th through Friday, November 22nd:

  • Canned and boxed food items

  • Baby food and formula
  • Deodorants

As we wrap up another week, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to our school community. Together, we are fostering an environment where our children can thrive, learn, and grow. Your involvement makes a significant difference in their educational journey. I encourage you to take the time to enjoy each moment with your child and to participate in the upcoming events and initiatives that help strengthen our community.
