- We have been busy completing winter assessments like the iReady diagnostic assessment. Once they are completed, we will share the information with families.

- Spread the Love of Reading Spirit Week is coming up! Here are the dates and themes:
- Monday, February 12th: Hats Off to Reading! Wear your favorite hat or headband!
- Tuesday, February 13th: Reading Knocks Your Socks Off! Wear fun socks!
- Wednesday, February 14th: Spread the Love of Reading: Wear a shirt with a positive message!
- Thursday, February 15th: Reading Gives Your Superpowers! Wear superhero themed clothing or your Walnut Square shirt!
- Friday, February 16th: Cozy Up with a Good Book! Wear your pajamas!
School Reminders
- Please send a water bottle to school each day with your child. We are also accepting donations of plastic cups. Thank you for attention and help with this!
Help Wanted
- We are in need of the following items if you’d like to donate:
- plastic cups
- headphones that plug into Chromebooks
- Walnut Square Clothes Closet: We mostly need boys and girls 4-6 & 6-8 pants, and boys 8-10 pants. Looking for donations/gift cards to Walmart/Target to purchase items as well.

Walnut Square Library Updates
The Book Fair is coming to Walnut Square School! We are very excited about this and are sure it will be a huge success. Not only will students be able to purchase some great books but some of the money will go to purchase new books for our library. The book Fair will take place the week of February 9th, and it will be open for parents during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, February 15th. You can visit https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/walnutsquareelementarysch to learn more about how to set up an ewallet and/or do some online shopping. If you are able to volunteer to help with this event and have a completed CORI on file, please email your child’s teacher or Mrs. Greene at kgreene@haverhill-ps.org.
