Welcome Walnut Square School’s New Principal

As this school year comes to a close, I will be retiring after 33 years from Haverhill Public Schools. Working with the Walnut Square students, families and staff over the past two years has been wonderful and I will truly miss everyone. I am excited to share with you that Walnut Square will have a full time principal. Starting July 1, 2021 Ms. Jennifer Rubera will become Walnut Square School’s principal.  Mrs. Rubera began teaching in Haverhill in 2000.  In her 20 years of teaching, she taught fourth, fifth, and sixth grade.  She also was an elementary Math coach as well as an elementary Math and Technology specialist.  This school year, Ms. Rubera became the Director of the Remote Learning Academy for the 2020-2021 school year.  She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Boston University, her Master of Education degree in Reading and Literacy from Endicott College, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Educational Leadership from Salem State University.
