Family Update: Early Release Day 9/30/26, September Reading Challenge

Dear Families, 

It was another great week here at Walnut Square!  

Next week, we have a scheduled early release day on Wednesday, September 30, with dismissal at 11:35 am.  I want to emphasize how important regular school attendance is, including on early release days!  These shortened days are still packed with essential learning, meaningful engaging activities, and fun.  Every school day counts toward your child’s academic and social growth, so please ensure your Superstars are present and on time.

Today, we celebrated our Superstars who participated in the Summer Reading program.  Our September Reading Challenge is wrapping up next week, and our school-wide goal is to read and log 150 books for the month!  Every single entry counts toward our collective total. Once your child finishes reading a book, please help them complete the online Superstar Reading Log here:  Superstar Reading Log.  Throughout the year, we will continue setting monthly reading targets to keep our students inspired and reading every day!
