Family Update

Dear Families,

We have completed another busy week here at Walnut Square! Field day was amazing thanks to our staff and volunteers! Yesterday, Superstars were invited to read their Peace Poems at the School Committee meeting. They did an incredible job! You can watch their readings here: http://haverhillcommunitytv.org/. Today, our third graders visited Pentucket Lake for a tour and a "mix and mingle" with third graders at Pentucket Lake. Thank you to Mr. Brennan and the staff and students at Pentucket Lake for hosting and sharing a fun event!

Next week is the last week of school, and it is packed with special events to celebrate the end of the year. We kick off the week on Monday, June 15th, with our Kindergarten Teddy Bear Picnic from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM. The excitement continues on Tuesday, June 16th, with the Grade 3 Promotion Ceremony from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the Grade 3 Luau later that afternoon from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Please note that the Promotion Ceremony is for families to attend, and we encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs as we typically don't have enough to accommodate all of the guests who attend. The luau is for students only. Finally, Wednesday, June 17th, will be our last day of school! Please remember that Wednesday is an early release day, so dismissal for all students will be at 11:35 AM. Lastly, the Walnut Square Spring 2026 Family Feedback Survey remains open, and your help is needed: https://forms.gle/a5EWnFufoVccyPw96. Currently, 50% of our families have completed the survey, and we would like to meet or exceed the 63% paricipation rate from the Fall 25 survey. The data we collect from this survey is incredibly valuable. It is shared directly with our school staff, Site Council, and PTO to guide our school improvement efforts, measure our goals, and inform decisions about the future of our school community. We want to ensure the survey data reflects our entire school community. Please help us finish the year strong and set up next school year for success!
