  • Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

    Peace and Kindness Chain

We have been reading and learning about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his contributions to our society. As a black American, Dr. King was eager for his own people to be treated with fairness and kindness.

At Walnut Square School, we are seeking ways to solve our problems peacefully and to show fairness and kindness to our school friends and family.  We will be making a paper chain to show our unity as a school in our quest for peace and kindness.

Please help us to encourage these fine traits by noticing your child’s acts of peace and kindness in the home and recording them on the slips of paper that were sent home.

    • On the BLUE and WHITE strips of paper, please record Acts of Peace & Kindness

You may send in the white and blue strips of paper as soon as they are filled out.  The final collection for the paper pieces will be on Friday, January 15th.

We hope, with your efforts and our own, to set these traits as habits that will enrich the life of your child.

    Warmly,

    The Walnut Square School Staff
