Message from the Principal
October 2, 2018
Dear Walnut Square School Families,
We hope that the school year is off to a great start for you and your family. I’m proud of our dedicated, experienced staff and enthusiastic learners. Our school goal is to create an educational partnership with you and your child that will foster a passion for learning. The school team is committed to providing a nurturing and challenging educational environment that will ensure your child’s academic success. It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school. We will send home newsletters and post announcements on the school web page.
September 2018 was “Attendance Awareness Month” and the classroom with the best attendance was Room 2, Mrs. Caruso’s kindergarten class. Room 2 will receive breakfast with their family at school on Thursday morning to celebrate great attendance for the month of September. Attending school every day is a powerful way to prepare students for success – both in school and in life. Congratulations Room 2!
Wednesday, October 3, 2018 is a half day for students. Children will be dismissed at 11:30am.
Thursday, October 4, 2018 is picture day with Hockmeyer studios.
Monday, October 8, 2018, Columbus day holiday, no school.
Please check out the school website for more information.
We look forward to a wonderful year ahead and hope to make your child’s experience at school welcoming, fun, and full of learning. Please feel free to contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.
